Inga Augustus holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Major) and Statistics (Minor), from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill. An Associate degree in Mathematics and Environmental Science, from the Barbados Community College and a Certificate in Corporate Finance from the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP).

She is currently based at Sagicor Life Inc. (Financial Institution) as the Compensation Administrator. She has also been trained and worked as a Pension Administrator and a Corporate Banker.

Inga Augustus was born in Barbados on March 3, 1985. A results-oriented, self-starter, with a strong appreciation for accuracy, discipline, and adherence to rules, derived from her involvement in the sport of Judo at the highest levels. Judo has instilled in her the importance of teamwork, time management, and dependability. She has also been trained in Dance –Jazz, Cultural & Ballet and Music - the piano.

Being in the sport of Judo for the past 30 years Inga has assisted in the development of Judo in Barbados. She is a Senior Instructor – at her family Club, the Marine Gardens Judo Club.

Inga is a 3rd-degree black belt (Sandan) in Judo and is currently the General Secretary of the Barbados Judo Association (2014 - present). She has assisted in the coordination of coaching sessions for judokas at a national level. She has represented Barbados as National Referee with observer status in Isla de Margarita Venezuela and attended the 1st Pan American Female Referee seminar in Colorado Springs, USA. She represented Barbados at the World Judo Championship in Rio Brazil., and as an Ambassador for Barbados at the 48th International Session for Young Participants in Athens, Greece, at the International Olympic Academy (2008) through the auspices of the Barbados Olympic Association. In 2013 she received an Award for her contribution to women in sports from the Barbados Olympic Association’s Women & Sports Commission.
