I obtained my primary school Education at the St. Martin’s Primary School, then went on to the Dominica Grammar School where I studied business thus gaining a High School Diploma.
Between June 1991 and part of August 1991, I studied Computer Literacy at the Youth Skills Training Center. I worked at E.H.Charles & Co. Ltd from August 1991 to September 1993. I later gained employment with the Waterfront & Allied Workers Union on the Woodbridge Bay Port as a Tallyclerk under the Dominica Stevedores Ltd. In 2001, the Dominica Air & Sea Ports Authority formerly the Dominica Port Authority dissolved and took over the services of the Dominica Stevedores Ltd. I also worked part time at JARS Sales & Services as an Accounts Clerk March 2006 – January 2008. Tropical Shipping in 2015 as a Shipping clerk. In 2011 I obtained certification in Occupational Health & Safety in Panama.
I have serves and still serving on the Executive of the Waterfront & Allied Workers Union as the 1st Vice President. I have gained a lot of exposure in seminars and workshops both locally regionally and internationally. I am also presently the Vice President of the International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers’ Association (IUF) of the Caribbean Region and the 2nd Vice President of the International Workers’ Transport Federation of Latin America & the Caribbean.
